Who tells our stories, and how does it shape the way communities are seen and understood? This panel explores the importance of self-representation in contemporary art, culture, and cinema, focusing on the growing role of Roma artists, filmmakers, and cultural practitioners in defining their own narratives. Through discussion and reflection, the panel will examine questions of authorship, visibility, cultural identity, and participation, highlighting how self-representation can contribute to more inclusive cultural landscapes and stronger democratic societies.
